Some 150 civilians and military personnel gathered at the Montreal Garrison on May 28 to mark the garrison’s support for the reception of nearly 36,000 Indochinese refugees between 1978 and 1981 during the three stages of Operation MAGNET.

Streptococcal outbreak: No cause for concern

Since last December, three candidates from the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School (CFLRS) have been infected with a serious form of Group A Streptococcus. However, the medical team from 41 Canadian Forces Health Services Centre would like everyone to know that the situation is under control. The centre took steps to reassure CAF members and civilian Defence Team employees during an information session on May 31 at Saint-Jean Garrison.
