On June 1st, during the event: Our Health, our Forces[l1] at the Saint-Jean Garrison, will be held the traditional competition of strong men and strong women organized by the Fitness team of  Personnel Support Programs (PSP).

Karine Côté, PSP instructor at Saint-Jean Garrison, explains that this competition is for both military and civilian employees of the National Defense Department and who are members of the Sport and Recreation Plan. "We are expecting about twenty participants whom are already enrolled in powerlifting courses. The competition is however also opened to men and women who want to try the experiment. To do this, we have a new category, male and female, which allows to do the same tests, but with less heavy weights than the other categories."

Four events will be proposed to the participants: the shouldered and expanded log (maximum repetitions 60 seconds); walking duck (2 x 20 m with weights); the handset of raising raised ground at the bar of Apollo and the developed dumbbell; and finally, the combined sandbags and yoke (two raised bags with two loads and two heights / 20 m yoke).[l2]
