Every year on November 20th, National Child Day is recognized across the globe, giving children the opportunity to have a voice, be protected from harm and be provided with their basic needs to reach their full potential.  These rights include the promotion and participation in cultural, artistic, and recreational and leisure activities.

To celebrate National Child Day and the integral role that Personnel Support Programs and Military Family Resource Center (MFRC) plays in the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of children from CAF families, they will be hosting a free creative workshop for children in their community on Sunday, November 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the MFRC (Chimo building) located at Saint-Jean Garrison.

First, children will be invited to participate in the making of a mural that will be exhibited in the hall of the sports center on November 20, 18. The art the children will create will be on display at the National War Museum on November 28, 2018. The activity will continue with a cooking workshop.
