The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) National Running Championship will take place in Ottawa from May 27th to the 29th. Registration for the competition has now begun and will be held until Wednesday, January 20th, 2016 inclusively. Marathon, half- marathon, 10 km and 5 km races are offered for the military of all ages.

To be eligible, runners must provide proof of time (done since April 1st, 2015) equalizing or below the qualifying time set by the National Sports team. Registration can only be made for one distance.
The selected participants will be on temporary duty and benefit from the administrative and logistical support via the Military Sports of the Montreal Region, which includes: rations, quarters, transportation and registration fees.

All members of the Regular Force or Class B and C Reservists of the great Montreal region are eligible (Farnham, Montreal, Saint-Hubert, Saint-Jean, Sherbrooke or other reserve units). Class A reservists are also eligible this year, but must be on duty for the three-day championship and provide proof via their unit, in addition to having achieved the qualifying standard and have a successful and valid fitness test (Force Test).

The Montreal Region has outshone in the last National Running Championship, both for the quality of its runners as by its growing number of participants. The Military Sports section, has therefore reiterated its outstanding representation for the Quebec Region by submitting a maximum of qualified candidates! We await your registration hoping to reach a great number of participants.
